to its parent through the passing of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act
of 1971. Headquartered in Ketchikan, AK, STC has operating areas
ranging from Chicagof to Prince of Wales Islands (view
map).
Since its inception, STC has marketed
nearly 4.0 billion board feet of timber products to markets worldwide and is
the 2nd largest supplier of export timber products from the Pacific
Northwest in 2001. Primary products marketed by STC include
Western Hemlock,
Sitka Spruce, Western
Red Cedar & Alaska Yellow Cedar species.
Located
throughout Southeast Alaska, STC has the ability to charter vessels to each of its
operating areas and deliver products to its customer's preferred port of
discharge in a timely and cost efficient manner. STC's ability to access a wide array of vessels
