Sealaska Timber Corporation and the land we harvest and manage are owned by our Alaska Native shareholders. 

Alaska Natives are born with a reverence for their lands, which guides their way of life and forward thinking with regard to the environment.

Balancing the protection of our natural resources while providing benefits to our people and the communities of Southeast Alaska is our biggest responsibility.

The practice of silviculture coupled with ongoing scientific research helps us protect and nourish the forest ecosystem. Our practice of silviculture helps ensure the tradition of land stewardship will be passed down to future generations.  This is a core value of native people—the passing down of traditions both old and new.
