Sitka
Spruce (Picea sitchensis) is another specie within STC's product base.
Alaska's State tree, Sitka Spruce is abundant within
the Southeast Alaska region. This specie has a high strength-to-weight
ratio and is extremely resilient. In also possesses high acoustic
properties lending itself well to the manufacture of musical instruments such as
piano sounding boards and guitars.
